Shawn Richards, Owner - Born and raised in Kansas.  Lived in Kansas City a number of years, studying different barbecue techniques and recipes. 
 
We are committed to bringing you the best barbecue you've had.  Our "Low-n-Slow" method of smoking provides you with the most tender meat you can get.  Our Mesquite smoke will give you a flavor that will make your mouth water just thinking about it. 
 
We buy only quality meats from local butchers, but our wood comes from south Texas.
 
We believe our background of Texas mesquite barbecue and Kansas City barbecue will have you coming back for more.
 
Not that we have anything to hide, but you'll love our homemade barbecue sauces.
 
So whether you like the Texas style, Kansas City style, Memphis style or Southern style, we think you'll like what we've got.

Started catering in the Spring of '09 for some military friends. The food was decent enough that people wanted more. We started taking it more seriously and started honing in on some recipes that might work. We worked a few farmers markets and other small venues to get our name out there. People started asking where we were located and we had to tell them - we just catered. A small building became available in the fall of '10 so We jumped on it. September isn't the best timeof of year to start a bbq restaurant, but we worked very hard to get the word out about our food. It was a fairly slow winter, but the word was getting out. People started telling their friends that there was finally some good bbq in town. On Friday, March 18, 2011 the Colorado Springs Gazette did a food review on our restaurant. It was a very good review and the people started coming in. Our philosophy? Treat our customers like they are your friends and give them the kind of food they want. It seems simple, but it works.
